Pictures of your Vegetable Garden 1

Here are just a few great pictures of some home grown vegetable gardens submitted by visitors to the web site.  Growing vegetables is something that can be shared by the whole family.  Talking with fellow gardeners I have confirmed my belief that when the kids are involved, they are more likely to eat the vegetables they planted and harvested themselves then the ones purchased at the supermarket. 

I've been told by many that they could remember helping their parents or grandparents in the vegetable garden and referring to it as "the good old days"  wishing they could go back to that style of living.  Believe me, It's a lot easier than you my think.

Kristin and son Tyson putting up fencing to keep the wildlife from eating the vegetables. Kristin, her husband Kevin and son Tyson grow ...... Bibb lettuce, onions, okra, cucumbers, snap peas, tomatoes (beefsteak and mostly roma-for canning). Also started some container herbs: greek oregano, basil and rosemary.

In addition to her tomatoes Sandy says she also grows ...... Eggplants, Roma Tomato's, Sweet 100 Tomato's, Bell Peppers, Cayenne Peppers, Ancho Peppers, Butternut Squash, Spaghetti Squash, Okra, Giant Sunflowers, Onions, a large variety of Herbs, 30ft. of Pole Beans, Strawberries, Blueberries, and Blackberries all in her back yard.
